Notice to Bidders Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Board of Trustees of Twin Township, Preble County, Ohio, until August 12, 2025, at 6:00 o'clock p.m., for the furnishing of labor and materials required for repairing and resurfacing the Township's roads, according to the specifications included with the bid forms. Copies of the bid forms and specifications may be obtained from Kay Johnson, Twin Township Fiscal Officer, 1251 St. Rt. 503 N, West Alexandria, Ohio 45381, (937) 248-6588 or (937)-839-5845; the bidder will be responsible for mailing costs, if any. Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: for the furnishing and application of emulsions/asphalt and crushed limestone necessary to strip patch and/or chip and seal the various roads of Twin Township, as directed by the Board of Trustees. Bids are to be for complete work, including all sweeping, rolling and furnishing of all necessary lights and barricades. Bids are to be submitted on a unit basis - gallons and tons applied to Township roads and are to be submitted according to the specifications included with the bid forms. The outside of the sealed bid shall be marked with "Twin Township Summer Road Work 2025." Total estimated cost for the entire project will not exceed $150,000.00. In accordance with R.C. 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid bond or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the Board of Trustees of Twin Township, Preble County, Ohio. The bid bond or certified check shall be in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the bid and shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of the bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions, R.C. 4115.02 et. seq., governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on public improvements, and also to R.C. 153.59 regarding nondiscrimination.
