LEGAL NOTICE/REQUEST FOR BIDS Sealed bids (4 copies) for furnishing labor, materials and equipment for the Water Transmission Main Phase 1 project for West Alexandria, OH, will be received by the Preble County Board of Commissioners, acting as the Contracting Authority, at 101 E. Main St., Eaton, Oh 45320 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. A copy of this legal notice is posted on the Preble County Board of Commissioners official website and available at www.prebco.org . Once the "Legal Notices and Bids" page is displayed, click on the project name under "Bid Notices." Information and bid documents for the project can be found and downloaded at: choiceoneengineering.com/projects-out-for-bid . All official notifications, addenda, and other bid documents will be offered through the designated website. Neither owner, contracting authority, nor engineer will be responsible for bid documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing office of Choice One. The project includes the following work: The replacement of water main along E. 3rd St. and N. Main St. New water services, meter pits, and fire hydrants will be installed as well. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a bid bond and contract bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form, shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The contractor will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages. Attention of the bidder is called to the various insurance requirements, equal opportunity provisions, and the Buy American provisions. This project is funded through CDBG and OPWC Funds and should follow all applicable rules and regulations. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to bidders that are included in the bid documents. The Board of Preble County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the Preble County Commissioners.
