NOTICE OF ELECTION Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Gratis Township Board of Trustees, Preble County, Ohio, passed on the 30th day of January, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Special Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 6th day of May, 2025 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten-mill limitation: Issue 9 An additional tax for the benefit of Gratis Township Ambulance District (Excluding the Villages of Gratis and West Elkton) for the purpose of the provision of ambulance and emergency medical services that the county auditor estimates will collect $300,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $105 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.
